Developing and launching small university satellites, and in particular CubeSats, with low costs makes possible to bring them as educational tools in the classrooms of many universities and even of some high schools. The conference and the workshop gathered 253 participants from 25 countries in 14 technical sessions (7 for the Conference and 7 for the Cubesat Workshop). The papers are divided by technical sessions. Special sessions have been dedicated to the Ulisse Project and to the UniSat Program. Proceedings of the IAA 50th Anniversary Celebration Symposium on Climate Change / Green Systems. This book collects the papers given at the IAA 50th Anniversary Celebration Symposium on Climate Change/Green Systems, August 30-31, 2010, Nagoya, Japan. Global Climate Change is recognized as one of the most urgent and crucial issues for humankind’s sustainable future. On the occasion of its 50th anniversary, the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA) organized a symposium to discuss possible contributions to this urgent issue from the space sector, with strong support of Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and Aichi Prefectural Government, Institute for Unmanned Space Experiment Free Flyer (USEF) and Society for Promotion of Space Science. In parallel, a workshop took place to provide focused inputs to the IAA climate change/green systems study group report, including high level recommendations on this issue. Hardcover.
